HASLINGER Shaving ( RASIER ) Soaps ( SEIFEN ) and Cosmetics ( KOSMETIK ) are made in Austria using the same traditional methods since 1949. The entire product range is immaculate.
When we asked the production manager at HASLINGER Company in Austria – why they made their Shave Soap pucks so small ( only 63G ) the reply was simple
” Haslinger makes the Shave Soaps in a smaller size as a 2 in 1 product – they can be used 1) just like a Shave Stick by rubbing directly to a wet face and then using a Shave Brush to Lather and ii) as a Shave Soap puck and lathered in a Shaving Bowl, and being so small you can just throw it in your Shaving Kit Case and use it as your home or away Shave Soap when travelling “.
Haslinger Shave Soap – Schafmilch Rasierseife mit Bio-Schafmilch is a traditional hard shave soap , formulated with Sheep milk, Glycerin & Lanolin, which care for and protect the skin.
Glycerin – which causes the Soap lather to absorb and hold more water and an excellent skin conditioner.
Lanolin – which is the Fatty Oil which comes from Sheeps Wool – ( which is now included in some Shave Soap formulas since it was discovered that Sheep Shearers who constantly handled sheeps wool had unusually soft and smooth hands.
Haslinger Shafmilch unlike Mitchells Wool Fat is very easy to get a great lather from, when using any kind of Shaving Brush and is extremely slick and has excellent post shave skin conditioning. Haslinger Shafmilch Shaving Soap Puck will easily adhere ( stick to ) the Bottom of the Stainless Steel Shaving Bowl after one use.
Use with a Shaving Brush and warm water to create a rich, creamy lather.
Haslinger Shaving Soap Pucks are quite small & round in shape with a base diameter of 62mm x 20mm wide.
Highly Recommended Shave Soaps !!!

CR Coogan –
This is the perfect shaving soap for me! It loads very quickly and easily from a dry puck onto a wet brush. Lathers up very quickly and with no need to fuss; a little water on the brush or a lot, either way it works great. Thick creamy lather, very slick shave; I just have to wipe some hot water around on my face for a second pass, no need to lather again. Doesn’t dry out your skin. In fact, this morning I got to work and realized that I forgot to use aftershave balm. No matter; no irritation at all. The scent is very mild, almost unnoticeable; it just smells like soap. Maybe there’s a little hint of baby powder, which I’m not crazy about, but barely noticable. The fact that there are no obnoxious smells makes it decidedly gender neutral, and I should see if my wife wants to try it too. It is exactly the same width as old fashioned shave soap pucks like Williams or Colgate, so it fits in a traditional shaving mug or vintage shave scuttle perfectly. However, the puck is much thicker than Williams, so it should last for a very long time. Many months, at least. I have hard water where I’m from but I can still get a rich lather with Haslinger Schafmilch.
