Hand Crafted in France using a very ancient hard drying technique with ONLY 6 Natural VEGAN Ingredients.
Known as the Best Shaving Soap in the world it easily makes an incredible huge and abundant quantity of lather with just few swirls of the brush.
I literally counted six light swirls of the brush on the soap and this was enough to make a quantity of lather more than enough for my usual three passes.
The lather is of excellent quality, very tiny bubbles and sometimes none at all, excellent water retention, creamy and slick.
Wonderful sensation on the skin, fresh & light with an excellent moisturizing effect, the razor slides easily & comfortably, no signs of skin irritations using Martin De Candre Shaving Soap at all.
No need to rinse off after Shaving just towel dry the Shaved face as Martin De Candre Shaving Soap has excellent Post Shave After Shave Properties.
In Summary : An excellent shave soap, certainly of superior quality, amazing for the very small quantity needed to get a rich and luxurious lather.
Literally a few swirls on the soap with a moderately soaked Shaving brush gives a rich and creamy lather with a very good water retention.
One of the very best Shaving Soaps I have ever tried, although quite expensive – but you really need a microscopic quantity – this certainly is a must for every wet shaver.
No skin irritation at all after Shaving, leaving a smooth feeling skin with a pleasing fresh and clean sensation.
This soap is a great example of how quality can make a difference in soap making.

Martin De Candre Shaving Soaps are easily the best shaving soaps out there. I have very sensitive skin ( VERY ) and I’ve tried about 30 different brands of shaving soap and all have caused irritation from slight irritation to severe irritation – NOT SO with Martin De Candre. I have 3 of there offerings FOUGERE which smells divine. Rose which smells like the entire rose plant including soft dirt and the mighty unscented version. None of the MDC Shave Soaps I have cause any skin irritation whatsoever & provide me with the best shaves Ive ever had. Some people have reported that Martin De Candre is no better than any other shave soaps but my skin begs to differ because of the light touch to my skin that MDC Shave soaps provide. I will not and can’t use anything but Martin De Candre Shave Soap. BLADE SHAVING SHOP staff are so friendly and helpful and patiently helped me find the MDC Shaving Soap Range which Ill be forever Grateful…

I have been at this fantastic traditional wet-shaving “hobby” since late 2006 and I can honestly say that in my opinion, the Martin de Candre Fougere is the finest shave soap I have ever tried. It is one of only two future “re-buys” in my lather category. MdC gives a great slick lather every time, with minimal product. I could be quite happy if this were my only soap.

Martin de Candre FOUGERE may be my favorite shaving soap – It most definitely is top 3. Lathers like crazy, great scent (took me awhile, but I love it now), plenty of cushion and great glide.
