Most Safety Razors including the FEATHER are set at a certain Blade Gap which cannot be changed so some shavers have 2 or even 3 different model Safety Razors with different Blade Gaps to Shave with when the facial hair is longer or when Shaving against the grain of the face hairs.
This Razor is great because all you have to do is turn the dial on the Razor Handle and it changes the Blade Gap on the fly – Setting 1 being the most Mild setting ( which is great for those with sensitive skin and everyday Shavers ) up to Setting 6 being the most aggressive setting ( which is perfect for the coarsest beard growth & those who like a super smooth Shave everytime )

I have $100 + razors that sit on the counter now because of this cheap, made in china wonder. Put the blade in, close it from the bottom, and take it to number 1,2, or 3 on the adjustment near the top. You will feel the tension on the blade get snug around 3, as the blade gets older it will need more tension.
You have to open the butterfly from the bottom, then put the adjustment to 0 in order to change the blade, then close the butterfly and tighten to desired tension. Again , dont leave it To loose. Great little shaver from blade shaving shop – ill give 5 stars just for the service I received
